We are Cook + Thief – self-confessed food obsessives. Our philosophy is based on three guiding principles:

1. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CHEFS

For us great food starts with great chefs. We seek out those that are the best in their field – progressive, exciting, always ready to push the boundaries. It’s their skills and vision that sets them, and their dishes, apart. Our passion has been to first find the chefs, then find a way to deliver their dishes to you in pristine condition. Five years in the making, and using some pretty snazzy delivery and packaging tech, we're now working with some of the world's most talented taste-masters, creating and delivering the food that meets their uncompromising standards.

2. ANY FOOD CAN BE GREAT FOOD

As unashamed flavour nerds, for us great food isn’t just about fine dining. Whether it’s a Tom Griffiths filthy burger or an Ollie Dabbous lemon elderflower creme fraiche tart, it simply comes down to what you crave and when. So whether you fancy comfort food or haute cuisine, one thing’s for certain: we’ll seek out those incredible chefs and restaurants that make each dish the best of its kind. (Naturally we taste-test every dish, many times, just to make sure.)

3. IT SHOULDN'T COST THE EARTH

From the very beginning we knew we wanted Cook + Thief to be about making a big impact on your tastebuds and not on the planet. So we set out to make sure our packaging is 100% compostable and recyclable, right down to the tableware. Even our hardworking gel packs can be returned to your rider to continue doing their thing. We know it’s a journey, so we're always looking for new ways to reduce our impact. If you have any ideas on how to do more, we would love to hear from you.
